Whole Picture: What’s next?
The first of three global exhibitions opened this week in Tokyo, with Mexico and London to follow. So now it’s time to share more with you, our community.
Project Recap:
In collaboration with renowned Mexican artist Hector Falcon, we created a limited run of 1,200 NFTs. The NFTs blend physical and digital co-creation, and you can interact with them to reposition the 4 canvases that make up each artwork.
Canvases come in different rarities: the rarest only appear once. You can see the different canvas designs here: https://strata.gallery/#/canvases
At launch, a month-long art event allowed people to co-create their NFT (see Section 3, home page). As part of this, Whole Picture offered a new kind of bonding curve. Three price tiers existed*, two of which — Collector and Strata — guaranteed $STRATA airdrops. The cheapest tier — Enthusiast — had a top price of 0.5ETH.
New Phase, New Pricing Model:
When the event ended, the opportunity to co-create ended. Now it is all about randomisation: NFTs for sale consist of 4 randomly selected canvases.
As part of this, and for simplicity’s sake, we removed the bonding curve illustration from the website. Upon community feedback, however, we have now gone further and closed the Collector and Strata tiers to new owners. We have also deactivated the bonding curve, and the remaining 990 NFTs are now locked at 0.5 ETH. Existing owners of course retain all original, associated privileges.
August/September:
- We has launched a discord server (https://discord.gg/FDj8AhAS5X).
- Fifty framed canvas cut-outs, signed by Hector, will be allocated to NFT holders, as detailed on the Whole Picture website.
- We will be releasing more information on our upcoming artist collaborations. One of these is the artist Elisa Insua (https://www.elisainsua.com/).
- We will continue working on a project set to transform NFT art. Right now it is top secret, but Strata Gallery supporters will be delighted.
